The "Fast Fashion" seems more profitable at first glance but it supposes a high cost for the environment and the planet.
When we talk about sustainability, the first thing we think about is the materials used, but the big problem of pollution and the environmental impact is in waste, unsold stocks and transportation. Did you know? We have been learning it along the way, and it seems so impressive that we wanted to share it with you.
For us, the issue of waste, unsold stocks, the promotion of consumerism and tightening production chains, lowering costs and sacrificing quality, is something that really is no longer sustainable. That is why we are focused on customizing our glasses so as not to "over-produce" and above all to produce what the customer truly needs.
"NINA MÛR was born with a totally different approach and oriented to responsible consumption and controlled production ."

THE DATA in the fashion industry is REALLY IMPRESSIVE.
- In 2015 there were 92 million tons debris .
- From 2015 to 2016, production increased by around 18%.
- El 30% de lo que se produce nunca llegan a venderse. 😱
- It is estimated that almost 15 million tons are sent to landfills or buried.
- And that 6.5 million tons are burned.
The saddest thing is that the majority of these landfills are located in marginalized areas or third world countries, where poverty and political mismanagement accept waste from developed countries. A real shame that makes your hair stand on end.
... Our responsibility as consumers and as a brand is to become aware of what is really happening and start, to the best of our ability, to change things.

WHAT WE PROPOSE as nina mûr AND WE ARE CARRYING OUT
- Production on demand, customization and personalization.
- Basically, produce only what the customer demands and needs .
- Upclycling giving a new life to the waste derived from production.
- Downcycling recycling waste to make a new material.
Thanks to the NINA MÛR production system that was born with the vocation of making unique pieces or small collections for our optics, we can make 1 or a thousand glasses, only when they ask us to
Why? Because we use machines in the industry but on a small scale. We are part of the new generation called "digital makers". We are not artisans, we are not a big industry, but we have the best of both sides. 😉
We encourage you to use our customization services to place orders to fit your needs. And to use this with your clients.
